Conference Highlights: APLA, Think Tank Coordination, and Dialogue with Argentine Civil Society — Buenos Aires, September 18, 2025
On the opening day of the Buenos Aires conference, representatives of member parties, think tanks, and associate members of the Progressive Alliance of the Americas met to strengthen coordination and exchange perspectives on shared priorities. The meetings focused on aligning political, programmatic, and communication strategies to advance transnational cooperation and prepare the Alliance’s common agenda for 2026.
In a separate dialogue, delegations engaged with feminist and LGBTQI+ organizations in Argentina. The exchange centered on confronting misogyny, anti-rights backlash, and far-right mobilization, and explored shared strategies to promote equality, inclusion, and rights-based policies across the region.
The day concluded with a welcome dinner hosted by the Socialist Party of Argentina, reaffirming the spirit of solidarity and progressive cooperation that defines the Alliance’s work in the Americas.
