Today is the sad anniversary of Selahattin Demirtaş imprisonment in 2016. He is the former co-chair of Peoples’ Democratic Party – HDP and 2019 Progressive Alliance Awardee. He has been acquitted by a Turkish court and is being kept in prison illegally for a crime of opinion.
We demand his immediate liberation and condemn the repression and potential closure of the Peoples’ Democratic Party – HDP.
