We stand with the Chilean people and Gabriel Boric!
The Progressive Alliance is present in Chile to support the candidate Gabriel Boric in the 2nd round of the presidential elections. We stand with our members, the Partido Por la Democracia – PPD and Partido Socialista de Chile, to give him our unconditional support, and to defend the constituent process that Chileans have massively voted for.
We believe that Gabriel Boric and his programme are the most capable of promoting democracy, human rights, women’s rights, minority rights, and an economy based on sustainable development, social justice and dignity. As he is faced with a populist candidate who defends the fascist and ultra-liberal legacy of the Pinochet dictatorship, which represents a threat not only to our values, to Chile, but to the whole region.
