On this International Day of Democracy, we would like to share the struggles of peoples and sister parties who work to defend democracy in different parts of the world.
Our sister party UNAMOS is at the front line in the struggle for democracy in Nicaragua. Suyen Barahona, its President and recipient of Progressive Alliance Award in 2022. From exile, she sends us a message of resistance following her release from the prisons of the dictator Ortega.
Our solidarity to the people of Nicaragua, those imprisoned and live under persecution for the cause of democracy.
